This is actually my son’s 130MM Skywatcher

Aperture:  130mm with spherical mirror

Focal Length:  900mm/F7

Finder Scope:  Red Dot

Mount/Tripod:  EQ-3 with right ascension motor mounted on a home made pedestal

Excellent starter scope.  Before giving to my son I replaced the 1.25” plastic focuser with a 2” all metal rack and pinion focuser.  There have been other minor modifications to the mount.  All in all, an excellent scope.  I purchased the pedestal while attending a star party in England.  It suits this reflector well making it easier to position and view.  The main pedestal tube is actually the body of a fire extinguisher, heavy cast aluminum.

The Right ascension motor pictured here was originally purchased for the my CG4 mount.  It didn’t fit.  I purchased this mount later and kept the motor.  Motor + Mount = New Astro Rig

The polar alignment scope finishes off this mount nicely.  It accurately polar aligns the scope for visual use.  When used in conjunction with the RA motor, objects will stay in the view of an eyepiece indefinitely (until they go below the horizon anyway).
